This spacious 100-year-old 5-bedroom house with 2 full bathrooms has undergone multiple makeovers. A few original finishes are still on display with Red Pine wood floors throughout, cast iron tubs, and a vintage cast iron kitchen sink. Each bedroom is equipped with a queen or full-size bed, comfortably accommodating two guests. The family room boasts two oversized power-operated sofas and a 55" flat screen TV.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, trimmed with granite countertops, and is complemented by a dining area just a few feet away. A laundry room with a washer and dryer is available for your convenience. This Old House By The Park offers comfort, convenience, and a place away from home. You can sleep comfortably here, cook yourself a meal, relax, watch TV, or simply do nothing while visiting Columbia.
It's designed to help you feel as close to 'home' as possible. Even your fur baby will feel comfy.

For peace of mind, This Old House By The Park has multiple exterior security cameras in place. Both the police and fire departments are located less than half a mile away. The recently revitalized Hyatt Park, situated across the street, is also equipped with multiple security cameras. Since its revitalization, Hyatt Park has attracted more visitors and families of all ages.

Because Columbia is centrally located, you can drive less than 3 hours and spend a day or two at places like Greenville,
Charleston, Hilton Head, Asheville, N.C., Atlanta G.A. and everywhere in between.
Our Story
So, it all began back in the 1980s. We met in Melbourne, Florida and became friends. It wasn’t long after that Aaron was scheduled to return to his military duty in Germany while I transitioned to Orlando and continue my education at University of Central Florida. Over the next 32 years, we rarely kept in touch… until Covid year. We crossed paths again and we’ve been together ever since.
We both love to travel and found that some of the hotels we stayed at were not accommodating. Sometimes the hotel room was out of the way or we couldn’t find a parking space. And, if we had our puppy dog, there was nowhere close to take care of my dog’s needs. So, we decided to try short term rentals like Airbnb, VRBO or Booking.com and we loved it and still do. So much so, that today, we offer This Old House By The Park. We really enjoy hosting. We’re always making changes…making it better for our guests.
